. t age six, Matthew sat down at the family piano and began playing the simple melody of a church hymn. When his parents realized his ability to play 'by ear', they enrolled him in piano lessons. Through the years, he struggled with the concept of reading and understanding music and quit music lessons. However in his teen years, after being inspired by a famous piano performer and impressed by the Lord, he felt the calling to a piano performance ministry. From that point, he began studying music on his own and through a piano professor in college, gained new insight and skill.
Marshall weaves together entertainment, ministry and passion when he plays for audiences. He envisions new ideas and projects, constantly venturing forward, yet appreciating the past and present.
